{Inspiration} Elegant Blush, Cream & Gray

I'm constantly looking through wedding blogs/magazines/sites and saving little pieces of things I love. Just little bits here and there. I love it when these sites/blogs have wedding inspiration boards- so I've decided to take my little bits of beauty and create some of my own. Here is my first: It's soft but still refined. Elegant and classic yet modern and stylish. I love this combination of cream, gray and blush pink. The wedding gown is from Priscilla of Boston, the gray bridesmaid dress is from J.Crew, and the table cards are from BHLDN.

New

I'm so excited about next week's newborn session. I am dying to see this little sweetheart. I'm trying to get everything together (backgrounds, props, etc.) and I'm getting even more excited seeing it all come together! Here is a little peek at some homemade pieces I'll be using. My mom actually made the hat and I'm about halfway through knitting the blanket. Hopefully we can finish two more hats and a cocoon, too. I can't wait!

At a Wedding

Photographing weddings are so much fun! I love getting to be a part of a very personal day in someone's life. It's an amazing feeling! Here are a few pictures of me at Chantel and James's wedding last month.

I had a great time meeting and taking pictures with this lovely girl. She is smart, beautiful, perfectly polite and was a natural in front of my camera. I was trying my hardest to shoot at that poppy field I posted about a few days ago but we couldn't make it. We couldn't bring the photo shoot to the poppies so I brought some poppies to the photo shoot! Here are a few pictures from the day.

Poppies

I love poppies. While driving I found the most amazing little field of poppies! Oh! It was just gorgeous! I've never seen anything like this before and I was amazed that this was a real place! Hopefully I'll be back on Friday for a photoshoot! Yes!

She's the one friend who has been through it all with me and I the same with her. Beginnings, endings, good, bad, and just down-right awkward moments. Been there. Done that. She's my "do anything in the world for you" friend. She's my amazing second shooter. She's my jewlery-loving, never a dull moment best friend.

{Wedding} James and Chantel Koker

As I walked up to the hotel room where Chantel was getting ready I could feel the anticipation. I stopped to listen for a moment outside the door and heard music playing, laughing and just pure excitement. I walked in and that is exactly what I saw. Pure excitement. A tight-knit circle of friends and family with a lifetime's worth of memories and good humor. The same was evident when meeting James and his groomsmen. Perfectly described as laid back and amusingly witty. Together James and Chantel are the kind of couple that you feel happy to be around. Lighthearted and charming. Casual and effortlessly stylish. Beneath the playfulness and wit there is true love. Honest love. A deep and intricate bond that is as unique as it is subtle and beautiful.

I am so grateful to James and Chantel for allowing me to be a part of this heartfelt and beautiful day of their lives. Thank you both. It was an absolute pleasure.
