Today...

For the last few days the weather has been rainy and cold so we haven't really left the house. Today was different, though. It was sunny and the air was crisp and cool. Perfect. We ventured to the apple orchard nearby and then to a downtown shopping area. Here are some photos from today:

Food: Pieces of the Process

I've mentioned before that other than photography, food is my other passion. Cooking, eating and everything in between (which for me would be tasting and re-tasting, oh and tasting again). Lately I've been photographing different dishes that I've made but more recently I am into photographing pieces of the process. Here are a few from the other day.

Blur

It's been a blur. This past year seems to have gone by so fast and with countless changes. At times it felt unnecessary and it was hard. Truthfully, sometimes it still is. Now that I'm preparing for another big change, the thought of the blur becomes pretty clear. I can really see it for what it is. This hard time of fast changes and uncertainty was truly a time of growth and re-focus. These, of course, were [well] disguised as everyday things. Looking back, it's pretty clear. I needed this.

{Engagement} Patrick & Rachel

Since our first meeting it was apparent that we just "clicked". Rachel is gorgeous and absolutely hilarious. She had me laughing the whole day. Patrick is a golf lover. Being married to a golf lover myself, I know there is one volume of golf loving and that is total obsession. So, naturally, Innisbrook Golf Resort was the perfect location for their engagement shoot. We had a great time just walking around and laughing. This couple is so sweet and enjoyable to be around. I can't wait for their St. Patrick's Day wedding next year! I have no doubt it will be an amazing day!

Rachel's ring is so gorgeous, right?

They came up with this cute idea!

Beautiful, Rachel. Beautiful!

The next two are my favorites.

The Lay Flat Book

I just got this Lay Flat Book in today. The best part about this album is the capability for panoramic spreads. Take a look:
